I used to be able to burn dvd-r 's fine like 4 months ago..Now I tried dvd-santa and I get the error message :error trace key asc ascq asclen 3 73 3 a

is this a driver problem or a virus?? because I try to burn on cucosoft avi to vcd dvd etc..it fails to burn also...I even tried a external burner and it does not work..so before I send this garbage to the shop..is there anything I can do to fix this problem??

If it does it on both burners, then assume it's not a burner problem.

Try using 'Verbatim' brand disks and use ImgBurn to burn the disk.

ImgBurn creates a log file (under menu item 'Help') which might give more insight.

The burner in the tower should be checked for a firmware update.
Run ImgBurn on that drive an see if it can locate one.
