    I use Windows XP.
So far i could delete from my comp (or move or rename) any file that was downloaded from LimeWire. Today I downloaded a few and I'm unable to delete (or move or rename) 3 of them. When I try, it says it can't do it because the file is used somewhere else.
I cancelled the downloads in LimeWire, quit W Media Player and finally I did reboot my comp. I DIDNT HELP! I still can't delete or do anything with these 3 files!!!
BUT I DONT WANT THEM, ABSOLUTELY NOT !!!

On top of it, one of them contains 0 Ko (yes, zero) although it was announced to contain at least 2000 Ko and took normal time to get downloaded...

Can anybody help me to get rid of these 3 files? (I also asked my question on the LimeWire forum)

I tried with moveonboot but it doesn't work.
The problem is the following : for specifying which file you want deleted, you need to drag and drop it from Windows explorer (or desktop)into the moveonboot window. There is no other way it seems (I tried with normal files, it worked only that way. When I tried to to type it manually (with the route and all, moveonboot didn't want it).
BUT these 3 files wouldn't let themselves be dropped! What's that???

Thanks for trying 7KingPin... If you or someone else has any further help, I'd appreciate

sorry i didn't explain properly, you can just right click on the file and select delete file on next boot.

When I right click on the file, I don't have what I have when I right click on a normal file. I just have the top (read, add to the list, open with, send to) but I don't have the other options (like add to Winzip, copy, delete...) So I can't select Delete, it's not there...

oh that's strange, if you have move on boot, you should have an option of deleting the file next time you boot.

The first Moveonboot window (well, the second since the first is the title)says "Please select the source file or drag and drop the file into this window".
Does select means right click? I mean even with a normal file, when I right click on it, I get the usual menu which includes "Delete" but not "Delete the file next time you boot". With a normal file, I can only drag and drop it, then click Next, and I have another window asking me to choose what i want for the next rebooting (copy file, rename it or delete it)... So I don't know what they mean with "select the source file"

JeanC1, I tried Killbox (sorry it took time, I thought I had to register in Bleepingcomputer then had to reboot my comp and bla bla...)
So... I still have the same problem : I can slide these weird files but I can't drop them. But at least here I get an Error message when I try to drop : "Error 461 The specified format doesn't fit the data format" (more or less, it's rough translation from French)

    Any further suggestion???

Try it in SAFE MODE ! It sometimes will stay on your desk after the reboot but it will delete with a right click !

FINALLY I managed!!! Well, almost since I could only delete the whole folder the 3 weird files were in, but it's not too bad, I much prefer it that way!

It finally worked under Safe Mode but only with Unlocker, not with Killbox.

Many many Thanks to both of you, Phuc and JeanC1 !!! I've already found much help on this site, just finding the right info through reading, but with this forum, to find people spending the time to answer individual questions, it's awsome! Great spirit!
    Thanks again!
