Hello,I was hoping someone could help me with a problem.My DVD drive will not play ANY audio,at first i thought it was cuz i was trying to play a ripped movie,but its not.I played a original DVD and still no sound,I get video no problem but i cannot hear.I uninstalled and re-installed,checked drivers and i can hear everything but anything i put in the DVD drive.The drive is new,i bought it 3 weeks ago.Its a HP 740 DVD Writer/Lightscribe.I hate to be a total newb,but we all have to learn somehow.Thanks in avance.
i am not a genius when it comes to hardware, but something i have had happen to me before is by placing the plugs in the wrong way. im not sure how the 740 plugs in, but can you read discs from the drive? or is it just audio problems.
