i downloaded a program and it won't open, please help me?!?

    I downloaded Nero 7.0.8.2 ( a free version of it) and when i try to open it it trys to open in quicktime and says "error opening movie, this movie cannot be opened", is there anyway i can somehow open this program? i have no idea why its doing that, i would really appreciate it if someone would help me out! thanks

    You are taking the piss, aren't you? Read the System Requirements for Nero 7 and try to work out what is amiss.

    You won't be able to use Nero on your mac, unless you have installed Windows XP and "Boot Camp" on your computer. If you are trying to burn copies of your DVDs on your mac, i suggest you use "mac the ripper" to rip the DVD on to your computer and then compress the movie using "dvd2oneX". This is the best combination, the only problem is that dvd2oneX requires you to purchase a license (expensive)...

    thanks for the help..... so am i never going to be able to copy dvd's for free? b/c its gettin kind of annoying that its so easy to with windows but not w/ my mac. I wouldn't normally mind spending the money... but i just spent so much on this new laptop ya know?
