Is there a way on windows movie maker to take the sound off of a clip that you downloaded and put your own music on the clip??
Yes there is, if MovieMaker can open the source video file You have. Just mute the audio that came with the video and add your audio to audio track. (And of course your own audio file have to be in format that MovieMaker supports)
Now, to get the music you want into your movie, you have to import it so it shows up in the 'window' above the 'movie timeline' When this happened to me, I'd just drag the music into the audio line where I wanted it, then I right click'd on the music I wanted to remove and deleted it. Remember to save the 'new' movie every once in awhile. mj013
