i have adobe 8 reader but i cant open any pages up on the net with adobe reader

i have 3 different types of them,i have adobe acrobat 4.O/ i also have adobe flash player activex & i also have adobe reader 8.1.1,so i supose i need all 3 of them,it was my friend that put them on for me quite a while back,i don't even know what the other 2 are used for,is there a free version of these adobe around or is there another free one that does all 3 adobes functions in one,so that i don't have to use so many, or is there a free one which does the same things that i need it for but under another name.

reader but i cant open any pages up on the net with adobe reader 8.1.1,please can someone help me,& if i have to uninstool the 3 adobies then please tell me first when you reply if at first weather i have to because its only 2% out of 50% that opens up,something is very wrong all the adobe files that are on any google internet page just freezes when you see the adobe sign.

most pages when you go through net pages have got adobe file document there to open up any item them you see fit to read but it is an headache for me because of this i can hardly read information that i might need,thanks again,i await your reply
