I have a 65" HDTV Toshiba projection TV. I mainly use it to watch Dish Network & I currently have their standard receiver. Is there some kind of tuner I need to buy to make the channels appear in HDTV or do I have to buy the HDTV dish net reciever?
They started a new promo today for existing customers. You could probably lease a VIP 622 and get most of the upgrade fees back in rebates. Check it out.
I am Dish too. Just call them and tell them you want to upgrade to HD. There are four packages to choose from.
Do you know what the promo is for existing customers? I spoke to someone the other day and one promo was ending, but they didn't know if another was starting.
I have a slight problem with upgrade: I am currently "sharing" my dishnet - I have 4 receivers...I gave 2 to my friend...who lives 10 miles away...and I kept 2. These are the older receievers, that require a plastic card. I suspect that the new receivers (HDTV) are probably the kind that are card-less and run 2 TVs off one receiver, right? so, i wouldn't be able to share any more........?
I'm not sure. I'm a newbie and will not be upgrading. This is what someone posted over at Satelliteguys. Someone else said that the $100 rebate as a new HD customer was also in effect, but I can't say for sure.
Yeah, that $100 thing is still going, but that doesn't really help me. So for that last one I guess they give you a $50 rebate after paying that $149 upfront.
Yeah, I'm so new I don't actually know what a DISHin' it up credit is. I don't know if it's a rebate, money off your bill, or credits that can only be used on another purchase.
