i have gotten a problem recently that whenever i burn a audio cd i get skips on the album , at first i thought that it was the cd-r cd i was using , that was something wrong on , but ive tried with some other diffrent cd-r cds and they all get skips so it must be the program Nero.
    ( or the dvd burner ? )

Now , im not sure whats causing this , ofcs i uninstalled the nero version i was using from my computer and installed a newer version .
    but that didnt work.

DVD-R burning works fine , same with mp3 burning
seems its only affects when i burn audio cds .

What brand of cdr are you using? Could try a different/better quality brand.

What speed do you burn at? Could try a slower speed.

Is your firmware up to date?

I would look more at the audio CD player you are using. Is it old? Does the lens need to be cleaned? Can it play other audio CDRs okay? Some older CD players struggle to play burnt CDs. media shouldn't really matter, but try burning at a very slow speed (1X or 2X). Also try playing the CD in a different CD player and see if you get the same results.

    edit 4 typo

I too am having this same problem with nero. I'm using Nero 7 premium edition. I'm burning an audio cd, rather than an mp3 cd, and only recently tracks have started to skip when played back.

I have tried burning on the slowest setting and it still has skips. I am using the same media that I have always used, and never had a problem with.

    What could this problem be?

i have tried to lower my burn speed , from 16x to 8x but that didnt help , could it be that its something with nero 7 ? , and perhaps i should chnage to nero 6 instead , or just maybe change to another burn prg when i burn an audio cd

I have been having the same problem as well. The audio Cd I burn with Nero 7 skips. Using a better quality cd-r, changing the burn speed to its lowest setting and playing the disc in multiple players doesn't change the problem.

It has to be Nero because I have used a couple of other burning programs and the skipping doesn't happen. Unfortunatly those programs have very inferior sound quality and I want to make NERO work.

    any other suggestions?

I have started to use media player 11 to burn my audio cd's, and although I am ashamed to admit it, it's a better quality than nero!

I used Media PLayer 10 one time to burn a CD but I couldn't find a disc-at-once option. Does MP 11 have disc-at-once?
