I have Nero 8 Ultimate. I can put together a slideshow and it looks great - once burned - the pictures are full of small squares and somewhat distorted. I cannot use a DVD because it tells me that its the wrong type of disc and will only let me burn to a CD. I need to know if the disc is causing the squares and distortion or something else - please help!
its probably comprssing too much to fit a cdr... its the same for a dvdr compression too much and picture quilty suffers... try half your photos as a test.
I have same problem only with an AVI video file from Azureus. when I burn it the video is distorted with small squares all over..I usually do 4 to a DVD+R so tried 1 only and still have problem..never had this problem with NERO 7...tried didn't compression on it still have problem..any ideas?
Thank you for the response! The CD I burned only had about 7 minutes worth of photos. Is the compression the same as if I'd have filled the disc? Then, how do I change the compression?
@ Benkegs all denpends what the file is like before hand, azureus can bring in all kinds of rubbish. plus need to start your own thread buddy for more help... @ java4kel, hmm i see, only a few pictures shouldnt be compressed, what sort of project are you doing to start with in nero? is it VCD? and what are you playing the burnt cdr on? also use dvd identifier to see what the code is, i think it should see cdr too, never tried cdr with it myself do you have a codec pack installed like k-lite mega codec pack ?
It was a slideshow of my daughter growing up (for grad party). As far as my burner - I'd have to look up what it is - the computer is a Dell Vostro 1400. I played it back in the computer. Didn't even try it in the DVD player. On my old Dell (it was an XPS Media Center), I could burn anything without these problems and there was a k-lite codec pak that we downloaded when it crashed. This one doesn't have it.
@ Benkegs all denpends what the file is like before hand, azureus can bring in all kinds of rubbish. plus need to start your own thread buddy for more help thank you for the help...didn't know Azureus sends in rubbish as never had this problem before with NERO 7....I would say it is defo not the file problem and will start my own thread...thanks...
