What codec you are using? Is there two subtitles at the same time?

    What player you use?
What kind of sub? (srt, sub, txt...)

    AVI, DVD or what?

Open it with Media Player -> is there subtitles now?
if yes -> do you have VobSub or FFDshow?
You can also try to disable RealPlayer subtitles (settings) and try after that.

FIX: Now you have two software what shows subtitles and only way to disable other is to now what softwares show them.
    Do you have codec pack?

    More codec info:

It seems that the problame is DivXG400. So can u disable it?
    Or uninstall...

Or when you start movie and then VobSub start but it "Hide Subtitles" mode.

You can look what that sub/srt/txt file actual is. Open it with notepad or Subtitle Workshop and look that there is nothing wrong.
