i have xp pro sp 2 and i want xp media center ....

    i cant find my orig windows xp disk and i want to upgrade to media center 2005. every time i try n install media center 2005 i get an error saying some of the files on my second cd are needed. any way around this?

    Do a completely fresh install of Windows MCE rather than the upgrade.

    If you have a friend with their disk you should be able to use it as long as it is the same version.
