I heard thats its not possible to softmod a halo edition xbox?

    It depends how new it is. If the kernal is too new then the linux file won't run. Well this is for soft modding, I don't know much about hard modding.

    okay now how can you tell how new or old the kernel is?

    Go into your Xbox dashboard and there should be something in there that says System Info and it should tell you in there.

    I have a Halo edition and i soft modded mine just fine. No worries bro. it can be done. My xbox is fairly new. got it christmas of 2004

    YA U CAN, I DID A SOFT MOD ON A HALOEDITION LAST WEEK, WORKED VERY WELL AND EVEN PLAYS BURNED GAMES.
