Ok so I installed the program , but i see no difference between it and regular windows xp. What am I doing wrong? Is there any installed programs i didn't notice? My only experience is with the media center is on my modded xbox, so i am looking for the same interface of My programs, My videos, My music kinda stuff... Not really sure what to do. I am confused.
Did you get the remote control with it, windows media centre is basically xp with just the added features of be able to use it as a tv recorder/music/dvd player. however it needs compatible software/hardware to work at its best. 1. decoder software i.e windvd, ndvd, nvidia decoder or your dvd player wont play them. 2. tv turner card haupauge pvr 150/250 or a digital version for freeview. 3. remote control for you to access the media centre functions There is a compatiblity utlity that you can download from the microsoft site, that scans your system and tells you what you are missing.
