Ok, so I've gone through most of the threads at this point... But, my DVD player has the ability to play VCD's. So I've downloaded videos so I can burn them, obviously. I also downloaded Nero and TMPGEnc. I converted and split the video files so that they will fit on a disc using TMPGEnc, and I've tried burning the video with Nero and Roxio 5 Platinum. But my player still reads as "no disc". I even checked with the manufacturer of my player to make sure that they play VCD's. If anyone can offer any help, I'd be much appreciative. They only thing I can think of is maybe something is wrong with the discs that I'm burning onto.
Are you making sure that you are not burning it as a SVCD because your standalone DVD player may not support SVCD which is a little different!!!
