i need something that will play backups of every kind well just dvd +- R and CD-+R and last a while but for a reasonable price. THANKS!!!
Best Buy website has the Cyberhome CH-DVD 300S for $29.99 and it plays just about any format. About as low price as you can get. Should be in their stores, too. Draw back is the dinky remote control - my fat fingers always want to press two buttons at once. My stand alone player is a Toshiba SD-2900 so that makes it a bit old. Owners manual says it plays -R format, but it plays +R anyway. Seems like I paid $50-$60 when I got it. Been pleased with it; no problems at all. I would expect to pay in this range for a "good" machine. Be sure to look at the display card in the store or read the manual before you buy re formats. But then mine lied.
