    hey,

i'm having problems with DVD burning. i tried DVD santa and VSO program. but i always get problems with the results like the subtitles are very small, or the video is wide screen or something else.

so i need help here. i need a program to burn DVDs from avi files, but i want it to be the best and very fast as well. also, the subs will appear in a normal and good size and not too small or too big.
also, it has a preview where i could see the end results before burning.

please i really need help :\

I feel the best program to suit your needs is WinAVi Video Converter. This program converts practically any format (DVD, .avi, .wmv, .mpeg, etc.). This, in my opinion, is the fastest converter on the market. For example: a 700MB .avi converted to DVD on high-quality settings to DVD-5 size, takes between 35-45 minutes. I know it sounds like a long time, but compared to other programs, that is fast. As far as previewing it before burning, when converting to DVD it outputs VOB files into the created VIDEO_TS folder, simply open these in your media player of choice and take a look. To burn the VOB files, use Nero and burn at 4x.Be sure you mess with the settings on WinAVI, this is where you can set chapter lengths, alter quality output, change size output, etc. Hope this helps!

I hunted around and tried many different applications to convert AVI files and finally settled when I discovered FTDVD. It seems to do a great job. Good picture quality, easily edited menu's and supports subtitles too I think. You could give it a go, see if you like it.
