i have burned many dvds and am very accomplished in that but i am now thinking of purchasing a video game system. could someone please advise me on whether to get a xbox or a ps2. can either store bought system play backed up games using simply dvd decryptor and Nero or is it my understanding that xbox must have a mod chip and ps2 must use swap magic? what exactly is swap magic? any pros and cons about either system would be much appreciated before i shell out the money. thank you very much for your time.
Dude, You should do some research before asking such a loaded question. Personally I have both systems. My take on it is that the PS2 is on its way out and the XBOX is more cutting edge. With the XBOX, you can do more things (ie. play games, watch DivX, play emulators, etc..) With a PS2, you can play backups when modded and have a wider selection of good games. i definately agree, i got 2 modded PS2's and a modded Xbox and my PS2's pretty much collect dust unless a new games comes out that i just "gotta have" and it's cheaper on PS2 or xbox doesn't have it. But yeah definately the xbox is more vesitile and expandable.
