I recorded a program onto a dvd-ram disc using my dvd recorder and when try to create an IFO file using dvd decrypter, I get the following error. What am I doing wrong? Can anyone help? I'm trying to create an IFO file from a dvd-ram disc. Any help would be appreciated.
I'm trying to create a high quality mpeg from a dvd-ram disc. Usually, with dvd-r discs, I just use dvd decrypter to create a IFO file and then I use the IFO file in #1 DVD Ripper to create the mpeg. However, I can't get dvd decrypter to create the IFO from the dvd-ram disc. I tried using TMPGEnc DVD Author to create the mpeg, but the quality was horrible. The sound didn't match up to the video, and the video itself wasn't of high quality. Is there a way of creating a high quality mpeg from a dvd-ram disc? Is there another program I should try? Thanks if you can help.
I regularly transfer "movie" files, recorded on my standalone panasonic RAM unit, to my pc for authoring. If you just "dump" the "VRO" file (hoping that it is a VRO file!!..from your Ram disc) onto your pc then just rename it "mpg". You can then easily import this file into DVDlab. A trial of DVDlab is available on this site at :- http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/video_tools/ The software is a doddle to use, and the output quality (in my personal experience) is very good indeed. I hope this helps, good luck!! _X_X_X_X_X_[small]Why are The Samaritans always engaged?[/small]
I have renamed the vro to mpg, but the resulting movie doesn't have syncronated audio and video and the video playback isn't that good. I have been using TMPGEnc DVD author, and the results vary. I'll give dvd lab a try and see how it goes.
