I have burnt some movies I download onto cd-r and dvd+r/+rw and my emerson dvd player will not play them and says there is no playback on them and I was wandering how to fix them so they will play on the dvd player and blank dvd`s are maxwell.
mead, Welcome to the neighborhood - What formats are you using ?? VOB's, Mini-DVD, VCD and SVCD all play great in a standalone. You also need to check your standalone's specs to find out what media your standalone finds compatiable. Some players won't play -R media and some don't care for +R - HOWEVER - most, the vast majority, will not play RW media no matter what type it is - Keep to Brand Name media, Maxwell should fall in there. I don't think you can go wrong with Ritek either. Pete
