I need help ripping dvd's for Windows Movie Maker. And if possible any good programs...let me rephrase...any good FREE programs to help accomplish this thank you.
Not sure exactly what you want to do - please explain? Windows movie maker will only edit footage from a video camera or mpeg files from your hard drive.
Thanks for answering Ok I want to rip a DVD so I can use the footage for an AMV in Windows Movie Maker. I found a couple of programs but they don't seem to be working quite well. They are DVD2AVI and AVISynth (I just don't know how to use it)
What is an ~AMV exactly? As I say you cannot use DVD video compliant files with Windows Movie Maker or any video editing software.
Might want to take a look at showshifter here http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/video_capture_tools/showshifter.cfm it is really for tv tuner cards but will work without capture card. I have not tried what you are wanting to do with it but it should do the trick.
Ok thanx for the help again. An AMV is an Anime Music Video. And i'll ry out that program thanx again. Once again I'm trying basically to rip and convert the files on the DVD (.Vob) so that i can use them in Windows Movie maker to make An AMV Thaks again lol
death sorry I just looked into what you are wanting and showshifter caint do it. can play the vobs you rip but dont seem to be able to convert them.
