I need help softmoding. Im going to be using Splinter Cell and Action Replay. I downloaded this file from this thread (the first file on the top of the page)http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/218495 What else do i need to do. I heard something about Xbins and have no idea what it is. If I downloaded that file from the thread already do I need to use Xbins. Please help
xbins haha yea you'll need that.. it has the exploit save file that you need on your memory card to do the soft mod..
If you just want to softmod and ftp, the use of xbins is not required. Xbins just provides apps, dashboards, exploits, and all types of software to use on a modded xbox or in conjunction with your xbox and pc. Just copy the gamesave to your memory card, copy it to your hdd, put in the game and load the linux gamesave and follow the instructions. Don't double post.
xbins is for homebrew games and software here is how to get on: open mIRC and connect to irc.EFnet.net join channel #xbins once u have joined type this command and a new window will pop up and give u your temporary password and username and the adress to connect to the xbins server(u must connect through an ftp client to download items) [bold]Command[/bold]= /msg xbins !list
