    hello, everybody,
I am deadly sure that my question is preety newbie, but I would appreciate it very much if you could help me on this problem.
    I have 2 sets of avi-idx-sub files.
The 'avicodec' gives me that the data is:
    video: 544 MB, 672 Kbps, 23.976 fps,544*400 (4:3),XVID = XVID Mpeg-4
    audio: 155 MB, 192 Kbps, 48000 Hz, 2 channels, 0x2000 = AC3 DVM
For the second set of files, the above are similar, also.

In the windows media player i can see the video WITH the subtitles, and listen to the sound, fine.

I wanna make DVD (I guess it has to be burned on two dvds, one for each set of files. Am I right?)

I used NeroVisionExpress3, and this program made only a [video_ts] folder with VOBs and WITHOUT THE SUBTITLES, and no AUDIO one.

I also tried with the TMPGEncPlus2.5 but this asked me only for the video file and did not ask for the sub file. (In the past, i had used TMPENG and i remember that it makes ann mpg file, but does not include sound from avi nor subs)

What do I have to do in order to include into the dvd, the avi-idx-sub I watch in media player??

    Thanks in advance, Guerino

your right about tmpgenc, the reason for this is that it is an encoder so its just for converting the .avi to .mpg (mpeg-2 which is neccesary to play on a dvd) you would use that .mpg file in some authoring software which is where you add the audio and subs. i use dvd lab for authoring here are some you can check out:
    http://www.videohelp.com/tools?s=2#2

if you wanna go directly from avi to dvd then the easiet way is to use an all-in-one tool (like avi2dvd) here are some others:
    http://www.videohelp.com/tools?s=35#35

you dont have to put these avi on separate dvds if you dont wanna but you may have to join the avi's and dvds separately, some of these can be use to join avi's:
    http://www.videohelp.com/tools?s=8#8

and some of these should be able to join subs (i say should b/c ive never dont any sub editing:
    http://www.videohelp.com/tools?s=24#24

some of those all-in-ones will allow you to join them while converting ...but youll have to read the guides to find out how.

i dunno if you want menus, but not all of those all-in-ones allow you to make them and the ones that do are usually limited, if you want to make nice menus you should check out the lonk to the authoring software above.

also some of the all-in-ones use crappy encoders so you might wanna do that part separtely here are some encoders (read the descriptions they all have their own dis/advantages ...also read the guides cause most arent self-expanitary):
