hi everyone, firstly thanks to all who have got me this far. my problem is , im downloading torrents , thats fine . watching downloads on the vlc player, thats fine . burning said torrents on a program called dvd flick and watching on my tv , thats fine EXCEPT some , not all , will not burn to dvd . error message says write protected. can this be gotten around ? many thanks again
EXCEPT some , not all , will not burn to dvd . error message says write protected. at what stage from avi to dvd and what software do you get this? are they avi?
it actually encodes , combines and authorises . but just before finalise , it goes to burn . buffers ok then at actual burn , the error message write protected comes up . as i say not always but i find it unusual when i downloaded a tv show which was write protected
"Write protected" not the same with "Copy protected". You don't get that error because the file has encryption(if it did, you wouldn't be able to convert it...whatever). The "write protected", has something to do with the drive or the media you use. Is your firmware up to date? What discs do you use?
i deleted then re installed dvd flick and tried again , still same problem . the discs im using are maxell dvd - rw . do you suggest new discs? what about the encoder/ burner? is nero burning rom any good? if not , what do you all suggest . by the way thanks for taking time out to help
