Hello guys, I have been burning my DVD's for years now, and I am thinking about buying my first BD player. I have tried doing research here on how to burn BD movies and it seems very complicated compared to regular DVD's. If I get the player and start buying movies for $50 a piece I want to make sure I can burn them to keep the originals safe. I use any-dvdhd and DVD Shrink to burn regular DVD's. I am sure this has been covered but I am having trouble understanding what I need, I am sorry. It seems like a lot of people are just ripping them to a hard drive. What would my options be? Can I burn them to a DVD or Duel Layer DVD? Do I have to buy blank BD's if so what are a good price for them. How much quality do you lose depending on what you do. I am a quality nut, and rather risk watching my actual store bought copy rather then a bad looking compressed copy. I just read the BD thread and I am still so lost. What software would i need. I am sorry for repeating these questions but I really need some help before I buy one of these. Thank you very much in advance.
there are post about putting a blu-ray movie on a dvd9 but i'm not sure how good the quality is, i heard it is very good, but like you i am a bit a "quality nut" and would rather buy a blank blu-ray disk than have anything other than a perfect quality movie. what you need is, anyDVDhd, TsMuxer, imgburn, and possible nero. there are lots of threads and tutorials on how to rip and burn, have a read and have a look on other forums. Once you get going post a certain question that you need the answer for rather than one that's been covered lots of times before.
