hi all go here or easy to use dvd to dvd coping! http://www.chrismccann.co.uk also i think if you want dvd to VCD/SVCD (cdr's) use CCE = cinema craft encoder does this i think? Thx...
Nero can take the ripped file and convert it to VCD/SVCD for you. Else use DrDivx for DivX comversion
ummm thanks i didn't have enough time to go through the entire site but i don't think that it tells how to make a dvd movie into 2 small parts so it can fit onto 2 cdr's in the format of a vcd or does it and if so can someone give me the exact link to get to it and also how long will it take to do all?
If you have a DVD burner, why would you want to make a VCD on two CDRs? Why not just make a direct DVD copy on a blank DVD-R disc using DVD2One or DVDShrink? However, if you are set on making a VCD, check out the guides on this site, like this one: http://www.afterdawn.com/articles/archive/dvd2vcd_with_smart_dvd2avi_tmpgenc.cfm If you have further questions about VCD. check out the VCD forum on Aftyerdawn.
i want it on a cd because dvd discs are too exspensive and i tried doing one with dvd x copy express and it only burned half the movie onto the dvd+r so im going to try to put it on 2 cd and thanks for the link
Follow the link in Oriphus' signature (above) to find an easy to follow guide on how to back up DVDs to a DVD-R using DVDShrink, a free and effective tool. From what I have read on this site and learned from friends, DVDxCopy can be very picky and is prone to system conflicts. Try the DVD Shrink method on a DVD-RW first if yo are concerned about the cost. You will find that the quality of VCDs is quite low, meaning that a little more time and experimentation with DVD-R backups is worth it. After all, you paid for a DVD burner, why waste that money? Finally, I don't know where you live, but I hear that in the US blank DVDs can be gotten for less than US$1. Here in Korea they are about US$1.25....not to pricey, and not the end of the world if you end up with a few coasters. Good luck...
