alright i have an xecuter 3CE and i finally flashed my chip with the x3 3294 bios, and i would enable the mod chip sometimes and tune things up and everything and then i would disable it to go online w/ halo 2, but now it says that it can sign in and i checked my connection and i know it works because my brother is on right now w/ out a modded xbox, and some times a get a dirty disk error and it always takes me 4 ever to load up my game now, i thought it might have been the clock bug but im not sure can someone pls give me answers asap
So you can or cannot login to LIVE ? and you can or cannot load games via your DVD Drive? If your having troubles loading games, chances are your Xbox DVD drive is on the fritz and you might need to replace it or replace the laser inside the dvd drive... if you could maybe post more details and your EXACT problems your having, I or others could answer your questions better.
alright before i had my xbox modded some games like half way through would get a disk read error screen...unless i was on live....now this has never happened in halo 2 but now that it is modded it is.....alright so this is exactly what happens when i disable my chip with h2 in the tray...it goes to the xbox load up flubber screen thing than it takes like 5 minutes and then the intro to h2 starts, than when i select my acount and hit sign in and enter my pass code it goes straight to the start trouble shooting or cancel screen but since i dont have the M$ dash i cant find out my problem..and i just tried doing it again 5 minutes ago and when i went to chose my acount for h2(not gamertag) it didnt even give me the option to sign in w/ my gamertag, then when i scrolled down to xbox live it just sends me straight to the start trouble shooting or cancle screen....i dont know whats wrong but if not having halo 2 on my hdd anymore has something to do with it that might be the problem because i had it on and then i accidentaly formated the drive i had it on and i just havnt got around to putting it back on, ive just been cold booting and stuff, so if anyone has had this problem or if anyone can help me i would be very thankfull....
Well if your getting dirty disc errors chances are your DVD drive is ready to die.... If you do not have an MS Dash on your XBOX then i could see this causing a problem when you try to login to xbox live...
ya thats what i was thinking too, but can you give me instructions on how to get my M$ dash back, because i made a copy of my e drive and my c drive but i accidentally formated my drives and that must have erased it, and when i ftp'd the drives back it still didnt work, i dont think it was in those drives so if you can tell me how to check if i still have it and get it back that would be good and if you can tell me how to completly get a new M$ dash...
Do you have an auto installer disc ? if not grab the auto installer disc 3.0 from the AD forums I think TheReturn has it linked somewhere. You will need that, then boot from the auto install disc and restore to retail w/ large hd support
