alright i accidentaly deleted my M$ dashboard and i was so fed up with trying to get it back that i just sent back the mod-chip(first mistake)..then i could still play games but it was on error 13 and i would have to boot it with the game in it to play but i still couldnt go on live....then i thought that i might still have had the xbox dash on my hdd somewhere or something so i heard that if you left it unpluged so it would go to the clock reset it might get it back...so of course i did it(second mistake) and now it is on error 16 because it didnt find the dash again and i cant play ne games at all now....but i dont feel like doing a hot swap or ne thing because the things pretty much junk because the dvd drive dosnt play all games...so kids dont make my mistakes....and if there is a way to fix this w/ out hot swap then tell me..i just didnt want ne one else making this mistake
yeah unplugging it was a real mistake especially without a dashboard i did the same thing, if you didn't do that you could have just installed an auto-installer or slayer, but yes you will have to hotswap here is a tut how http://forums.xbox-scene.com/lofiversion/index.php/t332179-0.html but i have to warn you IF YOU MESS THIS UP THERE IS NOTHING YOU CAN DO TO FIX IT so be carefull and do some further research and ask around more before attempting this otherwise buy another xbox. i suggest talking to [bold]TheReturn[/bold] (he's part of aD) he knows a lot about xbox repairs and i think he knows about hotswapping
