Ok so I have an application that encodes divx movies to dvd for future burning. While in the process of encoding several dixv movies, i got the following message-disc cannot be finalized, cd/dvd burner is dirty. Also lately when I have burned dvd's from netflix, there has been some distortion is some chapters, which has never happened before. Perhaps it's the disc I use to burn with? I usually use memorex dvd+rw's. I also bought a cd/dvd cleaner disc from office max, but that hasn't appeared to solve the problem. Any suggestions for software or products that may take care of this dirty dvd burner? The burner is on a dell inspiron 1150 laptop that was bought in August if that helps. thanks.

Try a different brand of media. There are known issues with some Memorex media.
