I see 35 or so threads that aren't stickies on the first page of this forum. Of those, probably 40% are about problems trying to get an R4 clone set up or working.

I think we might need a sticky called "How to set up your R4" that talks about this whole clone mess and how to sort it out.

What do you think and who wants to help write it?

EDIT: To clarify, the R4 set up guide in the ultimate sticky is wonderful. I'm talking about whether there is a need for something specific on sorting out the clone and SDHC mess.

I think the sticky should just say "Dont buy an R4"

Well, if we don't then the board will be flooded with "xxx game doesn't work on my R4 can anyone help me" posts.

I like it cause then the mods could just close all the threads nd point them to the one.
    The DS isn't my thing though - nothing against it + I don't even one own - so I can't write a guide :)

Nah, telling people who have already bought one not to buy one when they want set up help doesn't help anything.

I think KittyMat has done a bunch of research on this.
