I thought everything was ok

    I backed-up a PC game to a cd-r and everything installed and worked fine, but when i try to start the game it loads for a little while and then just closes. The files consited of a CUE and a CCD file i burned the ccd file but not the cue, i don't know if that has anything to do with it. I used alcohol 120% by the way.

    i burned the cue and ccd on two different cd's but i get the same result using either one

    So you backed up your original cd and got .ccd files using alcohol 120%?

    Funny, Alcohol only makes .mds and .mdf files.

    However, Clone CD makes .ccd files.

    I would now assume you used the incorrect profile in Clone CD, because your back-up won't work.

    And finally, if it wasn't the profiles by chance, make sure HIDE CDR media is enabled. OOOORRRR

    the software will know your not using the original CD!

    And, Clone CD will also require extra tools to make your back-up work depending on the copy protection of the original CD. TwinPeaks and BetaBlocker are just 2 of these tools to mention.
