i dont know if it is just my pc or want but i tuns keeps saying ipod cant be reas and shuts down the synk after like 20 songs. is ther another program to use to load a ipod photo . thank you for your time
How many tunes are in your library? I have too many tunes and itunes goes nuts. I think it tried to load unchecked tunes. I only have 4 gigs checked but many more unchecked. I can't sync in 30 hrs. I am looking for a good solution vs re install itunes and only "show it" tunes I want on my ipod.
well that is part of my problem i was trying to synk 15 gigs all at once . my second problem is i have programs on my pc that are known to have hproblems with itunes and it causes it to keep crashing so what i didi was use my other pc that has a fresh windows instal and used that and it went prefectly. thank you for trying to help .
I reinstalled my itunes as well. I only "showed it" 4 gigs then synced both a 4 and a 30 with out problems. I will add more and see what happens. I have more than enough to fill the 30. While the itunes is not really evil on one was ever concerned with the learning curve required to use the ipod and the software. My nano locked up it took someone that has had one for a year to 'fix' it. You had to switch on and off a switch 3 times then press and hold down two controls for 15 seconds and the thing 're-booted'. I also hate how it makes very stupid choices for you. I am sure itunes ignored the settings and tried to sync all the tunes. That is a real joke. I also hate that itunes loads modules at start up. I do not expect to run itunes except to load my ipods. This may only happen a few times a year. Those modules really slow my computer down. Itunes runs in 'slow motion' on my computer. My computer is a PC running at 1.7 GHZ. The New bottom of the line computers run at about 3 GHZ now, so it is slow. I did not expect to have to buy a new computer just to load my ipod! MS Media player is far more functional for what I do running on a PC. I never play songs from 'the library'. I either play play-lists or make new ones using Explorer. I have a few hundred converted vinyl albums in my library with no artist or album info. The folders and file names have that information. This is not a problem with media player using it the way I do but I have not figured out how to get it to work seamlessly on itunes. Maybe I just need to keep importing the MS playlists.
i sorted it out now i had a program that interfears whith ituns so as i sayed in my other post i used my other pc that had a fresh install of xp and i synked 15 gigs of music flaulessly .
if you just got a nano, a lot of them are not working / syncing with itunes because a lot of nanos were sent out with the wrong software, thus not being recognized by itunes.
That was not the problem with mine. I had the same problem with a 30g ipod. I suspect I added too much at once. I do have less than 80 gigs but I do have a good deal and I added it all at one time. My computer is slow and has less then a g memory.
easly click the mid button hold it and then after 5 sec push menu together untell its restart and do it again will do
