Please could someone solve this problem, i've been trying to convert an avi file to fit on 1 dvd with WinAvi. The file size is about 715,000 i've set all the settings correct to the guide that i found on here, but it keeps creating 2 files instead of 1. I've succefully converted a different file that was about 715,000 and got that on to 1 disc but this is a mystery to me. If anyone could help it would be much appreciated?

What particular software are you referencing for which you've set all of the settings right on? Have you tried editing this avi to remove any specific material which you don't particularly need? Have you thought about converting the avi to xvid.avi?

winAVI converts to Xvid. if you convert to Xvid you'll have no problem fitting it to one disc and won't have any quality loss. Remember the codec problem. Right now, there is no way to compress anymore as avi. if you want to keep as avi your only option is to edit the avi by removing unwanted parts like the opening or credits and such. Solly chally.
