Ok I want to blu-ray or HDHDD from my Cpu. Not from a disk but from a file that i've downloaded. What is the best way.

    1. Hook my cpu up directly to the HDTV but my CPU is far away in another room
    2. Buy a media extender (D-link etc.) and run it through ethernet connection? I just dont think running wirelees it there yet.

any Ideas Id like to know....

I am using a 5 metre DVI to HDMI cable, my pc is around 12 feet away from my LCD. I have a Nvidia Geforce 8800 GTS, and a Toshiba 42" LCD, works really well. Just need to sort the audio out as the DVI cable does not output sound.

You need a graphics card that will output 1080p and a DVI/HDMI adaptor (or graphics card with HDMI out). You might also need to output audio seperately via optical/coaxial.

I use Radeon HD 2600 Pro with ATI's DVI/HDMI dongle which sorts the sudio out but I prefer to send the audio seperately in any case to my surround sound system
