LOCATION IS NOT AVAILABLE C:\Windows\system32\config\systemprofile\Desktop is not accessible. Acess denied. Also half of the icons in control panel are missing also. Can't do a rstore. HELP!!!!
Why they have disappeared i can't say, other than XP will often ASK if you wish to put un-used shortcuts into another folder called UN-USED ICONS in your "my documents" directory. Go to your program files folder on your C drive, then right click on the item you want and select "send to desktop as shortcut" Do an Antivirus scan to be sure you have no nasties on your machine.
