IDE cable with 1 master & two slaves?

    I was wondering if anyone knew where i could get an IDE cable that had one master and two slaves. I looked on ebay and yahoo but couldnt find anything. i know they have to exist because ive seen computers with 3 harddrives in them. Can anyone help me?

    No, they don't exist. What you have seen is a computer using both of it's IDE interfaces, each of which supports up to 2 devices. You can have 3 hard drives, but only 2 per IDE interface. Most computers come standard with 2 IDE interfaces. The other thing you may have seen is a computer with a SCSI interface instead of IDE. SCSI supports 7 devices or up to 16 if using Wide SCSI per interface.

    & scsi cables has more wires per cable than an ide

    I have an IDE card in one of my PCI slots, I have 2 of my optical drives hooked up to it. I still have a spare slot, enabling me to add another 2 drives. That could solve your predicament! Here is a link to what I am talking about, just do a google search for "IDE cards"
