Hey, recently my DVD-Drive and Backup Harddrive arn't being recognized by my computer. I plugged in the IDE to the motherboard and then plugged one IDE into the hard drive and one into the dvd-drive. I plugged both of them in with the PSU and when I turn my computer on, the DVD-rom drive will open. Though no matter what cd/dvd I put in, nothing is recognized, and the hdd isn't recognized either. Any help would be great thanks. The cables are pretty tight but I don't think that'd be the problem.

more then likely both drives are jumpered the same as in master or slave instead of master for the hd & slave for the dvd drive. edit your sig to conform to forum specs ASAP as you have 7 lines of text which includes the blank lines.
    1. Text-only signatures should have at most 5 lines of text.

Thanks for the response, it's working... I just didn't plug the IDE completely into the motherboard, I didn't want to force it in because it didn't feel like it was budging, but I bit the bullet and forced it in. Now it works yay!
