Hello All, Does anyone know of a list or link that shows what company makes the blank CD media? For example, Who makes Fuji, TDK, Memorex, and other brands? Can you tell by the inner (clear) part markings? Thanks in Advance
CDRIdentifier allows you to read the ATIP on a blank cdr(w) (ATIP is essentially a code embedded into a CDR(W) that allows you to identify what company actually manufacturered the disc (as opposed to what company marketed it). For more info visit http://www.cd-rw.org/software/cdr_software/cdr_tools/cdridentifier.cfm or http://www.gum.de/cdrid/
The links you sent are not working for me. The first one takes me to Afterdawn and a "Download" button. When I press it, it says Error. The 2nd link does not open at all. Any ideas?
Thanks Discmania and Praetor, I was able to download the program. Unfortunately it gives me an error message. Says, ASPI layer is outdated or not present. This computer is only around 2 years old. The burner came with it new. It looks like CDRIdentifier is looking for a SCSI drive CD Burner. Because it says, SCSI ID of Device: No Recorder Found I don't have a SCSI drive. I have EIDE. Am I doing something wrong?
I hate to be a pain, But I am a newbie and not familiar with how to install this program. Here is what it states: Simply extract the .ZIP file to a directory somewhere. Open a Command Prompt and run the appropriate .BAT file(s) as required. I did unzip it to a folder, but not sure what to do next.
Within the folder there should be an executable file to open which will install it. One of the files should open.
SUCCESS!!!!! It worked. The Blank Fuji disk is made by Taiyo Yuden. This program is AWESOME. Thank You for your Patience, Steve
If you have ASPI issues you might want to read http://cd-rw.org/articles/archive/aspisetup.cfm I suggest either you use ASPI 4.60 (1021) or ASPI 4.72
