Started a few days ago. I usually use Firefox but I tried to open IE and got a light blue box on the screen with some sort of information referring me to ColdFusion. Has anyone else gotten this and does anyone know what the heck it means???

    TIA,

    Barry

ColdFusion is a program that Macromedia makes. Unless you've unknowingly allowed it to open with IE, then that would make sense, but since you've never heard of it, I would consider it a spyware that just looks like it.

But if you've installed it with something like MX 2004 or something, then you should see where it is and disallow it from opening with IE, or just stop using IE.

Rickoshay, I searched for all ColdFusion files and found 14 hidden files. Deleted all of them and still have the same problem. I think I'll just stop using IE. And, yes, I agree with you that it seems to be spyware. I ran SpySubtract and found lots of spyware. Deleted them all and then couldn't connect to the net at all. I had to system restore to a couple of days ago. Feel like I'm running in circles!! Luckily, I do like Firefox. Thanks for your thoughts and help.
