Hi I use Firefox all the time but today I unintentionally went back to IE7 to visit a web page. I only realised I was using the wrong program when the Navigation bar/tool bar and bookmarks bar dissapeared from the screen making the screen look huge. It re appeared when I hovered the mouse over the area. I was gobsmacked. It was excellent. I don't want to go back to IE but it's tempting. I searched add-ons and foune some but none of them reshowed on hovering.... you had to press F11 of alt etc... Does anyone know of an add-on or extension that does this for Firefox?? Thanks a million Jarvis
try the extension "fullerscreen" , you engage the extension by going to the view tab and picking fullscreen. Whenever you move the mouse to the edge of the screen, you get all the menu's back similar to autohide. If you want to use Internet explorer, download the free "returnil" program. It will let you put your computer into virtual mode within seconds. Anything that happens when in virtual mode dissappears when you reboot. It's the safe way to use I.E. Whenever I have to use internet explorer, I always engage returnil to prevent my homepage from being changed or other changes. http://www.majorgeeks.com/Returnil_Virtual_System_Personal_Edition_d5702.html
