Try renaming \TEST to read VIDEO_TS (must be uppercase). Run WinDVD. Select the folder and try. If it fails then Win DVD is faulty, and may need reinstalling (that is why i use PowerDVD). If IFOEdit did not throw any errors, then the structure is correct.
It worked!!!!! oh my god!!! yay! I've been driving myself crazy and all I needed to do was rename the directory. Whew... Now, the next two issues are as follows: 1.)The subtitles don't have names. Can I just use IFOedit and open up vts_01_0.ifo and change the values for each subtitle stream? and then save? or after changing the values should I do getvts sectors again? 2.)The subtitles are blotchy and green and hard to read. I've seen guides on here and Doom9 about similar problem, should I just refer to them?
OK, glad we are getting somewhere. we can change the subtitle colours if you have the original VTS_01_0.IFO handy... If not, we can pinch it from another DVD...
I do have the vts_01_0.ifo but i'm not sure if I screwed it up in my unknowledgeable efforts to fix the subtitles
the top pane has a load of stuff in it. navigate down to the entry VTS_PGCITI. expand it. navigate down to the sub-entry VTS_PGC_1. the bottom pane will show the pgc data. in the bottom pane navigate down until you can see the color maps (address 000000a5 approx) post what you see in the first line of the color map.
click on subtitle color -> copy colors from this pgc. in the top pane, minimise the IFO. click Open. browse to the \VIDEO_TS (that was \TEST) and open VTS_01_0.IFO
ok pasted the colors into the new pgc, and saved it, worked like a charm! Thank you so much for all your help! I never expected to be walked hand walked through it all, Thanks Again!
in the top pane, navigate down to the sub-entry VTS_PGC_1. the bottom pane will show the pgc data. in the bottom pane navigate down until you can see the color maps (address 000000a5 approx) the values should show all zero's. click on subtitle color -> paste colors to this pgc click on save. save the IFO as presented. quit (ignore any warning about changed files) test in WinDVD...
Hi! I have been trying to create a DVD from a Dvix AVI File using Cucusoft AVI to VCD DVD. For some reason, my subtitles will not show up in the final DVD that I burn, even though I have added a valid .sup file to IFOEDIT when I create the .VOBs. I also noticed that the sound in this DVD is worse and has this aweful background noise to it - not in the original .avi file. Any help would be awesome! Thank you!
hrm, wish someone(hopefully a mod) with more knowledge than me replies...but here's what i think... Are you hitting "Get VTS sectors" before you burn in IFOedit? As far as the sound goes, I'm not sure...too little information given, and I know too little about AVI2VCD.
