hi i posted a topic yesterday and i was given a guide on how to turn divx/xvid/avi/to dvd and it gave me a list of programs i needed to do this.First of all it said i needed SRT2SUP (required only for the subtitles)
Then it said i needed AVIcodec (to determine what audio and video codecs you need)Then it said i needed FFDSHOW (required only if you don't have existing codecs to play DivX or XviD files -- depending on your source video format)
Then it said i needed TMPGEnc (required! for encoding the video -- note that the trial version works for only 30days!)So after i got all of those programs it said i needed IFOEdit (required! for authoring the DVD-Video disc)But when i was about to download IFOEdit (required! for authoring the DVD-Video disc)It said' Please note that this version of IFOEdit doesn't work perfectly with Windows XP, so it is strongly recommended to use it with Win2k instead. And i dont have windows 2000 i have windows xp and i was wondering if there were any other programs out there similar to IFOedit that worked well with windows xp.As IFO doe's not.Any help would be greatly appreciated cheers!!!!!!

U gotta first convert the avi/mpg file to mpeg-2 with TMPEG or Cucsoft Convertor or any program like that before being able to process it with Ifoedit. It's an intermediate difficulty to convert the files, but there's plenty of tutorials around the net to do it. Do a search for "avi to dvd" "avi to mpeg-2" or "converting avi to mpeg" in any of the more popular search engines.
