My wife wants an Ipod, for music only, she doesn't want the video player. Question #1 Which type do most people like for audio only? Question #2 Which way is best to fill her player with music? Is there any way beside ITunes (purchasing their music vs. converting my own) or is that a no-no not to be spoken of in public forums? Sorry for the noob questions but I just now needed to care about knowing this.
believe me, nothing is a "noob" question in these forums: 1. for audio only, i would probably purchase a 2GB nano, but that just depends on how much you're willing to spent and how much space you need. 2. i use limewire for all of my music. itunes is [bold]way[/bold] to expensive for my taste ($1 per song) so limewire is best to go with considering that it's free. bittorent is also a good site with ipod-rady music.
Thanks for the reply. How easy is it to put music we already own onto it, and does it come with software to convert say mp3 to whatever Apples format is?
mp3 is the format of the ipod. mp4 for videos. if you want to put cd's on the ipod, you can without any software (just using itunes) and you can get your songs from limewire or whatever music program you have onto the ipod, as long as it is mp3. post back for any more help
Very easy. Just import your CD's/mp3's into iTunes and transfer to your iPod. My FAQ at the top of the page will explain everything.
