Try burning using ImgBurn (you can select 'Test Mode' which is the same as the 'simulation' you are using with Nero). If it fails, click 'Tools' > 'Drive' > 'Check for firmware updates'. You might consider switching to Verbatim Datalife disks from the Ritek.
