I'm trying to burn various things with Nero and keep getting Illegal Disc all of a sudden....all I can think is that this is a new batch of Memorex discs and haven't burned any with them yet. My log file is:

Anybody have any suggestions? I'll have to pickup others to try....does this sound like a disc problem or Nero problem?

first edit your nero key off your post at the top it starts with 1A23

your nero is out of date, 6.6.0.16 is newest

get nero update here - http://ww2.nero.com/nero6/enu/nero-up.php

    Recorder: <_NEC DVD_RW ND-1300A> Version: 1.0B

firmware is out of date 1.0C is newest

get new firmware here - http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_firmware.php?download_id=1517

DiskPeripheral : MAXTOR 6L040J2 atapi Port 0 ID 0 DMA: On
    CdRomPeripheral : SAMSUNG CDRW/DVD SM-308B atapi Port 1 ID 0 DMA: Off
    CdRomPeripheral : _NEC DVD_RW ND-1300A atapi Port 1 ID 1 DMA: On

DMA should be on for everything

    DMA guide here - http://home.comcast.net/~bbmayo/FAQ.htm

    Finalize CD : FALSE
    Multisession : TRUE
    Multisession type: : Start multisession

just to let you know you are not finalizing the disc

    Recorder: _NEC DVD_RW ND-1300A, Media type: DVD-R
    Disc Manufacturer: CMC MA - G. AM3

CMC media is considered very poor quality, quality media is a must try verbatim, taiyo yuden, sony

    @JDub25
Don't forget to edit the serial # out of your post. Don't want someone else using it!

Just to add, I agree on the better media. I have this drive and believe me it does not like CMC Mag. It however does love Verbatim bigtime.
