    mzvickee,

First thing to know is the ILO needs to hook to the TV with the composite connections (yellow/red/white) since the signal it not routed through the coax (cable) connector. If your TV does not have composite "Line In" connections, you will need to get an RF converter from someplace like Radio Shack to hook the ILO up to the TV.

Take the VCR "Line Out" connections (yellow/red/white rca connectors)on the back of the VCR and plug in to the "Line In" connectors on the back of the ILO. When you are ready to record a tape to the DVD, press the "Source" button on the DVD remote until AV2 is selected. Assuming you have the ILO connected to the TV properly, you should now be able to see the vcr's signal on the TV screen. At this point, start the tape and press record on the ILO. Make sure to have the proper record setting so that the entire video you want to record will fit on the DVD.
