is there a way to copy a cd r mp3 cd to the hard drive of the dvdrecorder .. when i put the cd in it goes to the (target) dvd and i try to copy .. but it wont work or is this not even possible?
As in the copy of a DVD. A CD in CDA,MPG, etc. can be played in an other DVD or CD player and than recorded to the RHD04 HDD, which I have. This will produce a copy of the CD that can than be transfered to a +R or +RW disk. This disk can than be played on any recorder that will accept a + Disk. Most all stand alone [home units] will do so. The RHD04 will not record to a CD, + or - There are some recorders that will record to a CD - disk Problem's I don't know of any CD music players that will recognize a DVD + disk. It would be easy if they did As I become more interested in CD transfers I can see why it would be nice to have a CD - disk recording capability.
Hi Scooby000, if you are trying to copy MP3s from a CD to the HD04 hardrive, you'll need to upgrade the HD04 with the 201 firmware first. All previous attempts and firmware versions did not work for uploading MP3s and JPEGs to the HD04, only since the 201 release is the HD04 able to upload MP3s and JPEGs. Happy New Year. Cheers, CC CrazyCanuck
[ scoby000 ] I assumed that you had the latest furmware upgrade, if not, to use MP3 files you need to do so as [CrazCanuk ] said If the disk is not copy protected the disk in the 04 will copy to the HDD If a disk is copy protected regardless of file format you will not be able to copy from the 04 disk to the HDD. You can use another player and record to the HDD [In Real Time] and than copy to the disk. This will play in most any DVD. The disk Is a DVD and will not play in a -CD music player. The 04 will not burn a -CD disk, Now if a LiteOn 5045 were used that will burn to a -CD disk , Could you do it and get a useable -CD disk. Thats is a question I have asked. I don't have a 5045, but why wouldn't it work. or can I play the ilo HDD to another DVD recorder that will burn a -CD, At present I use a PC But I'm not into it very much, just courious Now all the above assumes that the ilo or LiteOn units are hacked The ilo04 is made by LiteOn They can be hacked and are non compliant.
