im just having a new camcoders

    actually....i dunno how to transferring my video that i have record into my pc....how could i do it.????
    cant i just transfer it by using usb port????ive tried.....but faill..
    what i need to do...plssssss

    The best way to get the file onto your computer is to use firewire.
    Your camcorder will have a small socket marked "DV" or somthing like that. Next, check that your PC has a firewire port, another small socket. Get a firewire cable and connect the two together. The PC should then detect the camcorder.

    thankzzz..but after i connect the cable.can my pc read the video in the hi-8 tape??can i just direct save the data in hi-8 tape to pc??sorryy....beginner

    im using dcr-trv480.....do i need any interface to transfer data in hi-8 tape into pc???can i just plug in the cable and transfer it??
    i just tried using the cable but i can just transfer the picture only.....

    You will need some software to save the video from the camcorder on to the PC.Windows Movie Maker comes free with Windows XP and is simple to use.
