I have tryed alot of stuff. to begin with I put in an old version of nero and copyed the wnaspi.dll from an old version 5003 and pasted it into the new version that didnt work so then I got adaptec aspi layer installer and installed it and no such luck. I can see the cd info but I try to burn and I get this error: SCSI/ATAPI command timeout error and nero freezes; See I have an old hp8200I burner and I have no ther choices but try to get this burner to work on it because im a kid. Please any help would be greatly apriciated. my version of nero is 6.6.0.12
Nero uses its own form of ASPI so other types shouldn't be needed. Have you tried uninstalling/ reinstalling Nero after using the Clean Tools? http://nero.com/us/Clean_Tools.html
Hi Vectorr, That is a very old issue. When HP came out with the USB HP8200 model, it was found that the BridgeBoard in the external device was having conflicts with communicating with our Nero software. I have a patch that will resolve this. Just send me an Email at techsupport4@nero.com and I will send this out to you. PS.
