I freed up extra room on my drive and defragged it but the same problem exists...any ideas?
Hi tomdreiss Check all your drive (hard and optical) and make sure they are in DMA mode. Current transfer mode should also list dma. Here's a guide: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/260038 If all okay the might want to do a chkdsk/scan disc to check & fix the hard drive for any bad sectors. Here's a guide for that too - you can use the graphical version. http://www.updatexp.com/windows-xp-chkdsk.html
