In an attempt to stop OTA, I'm on the verge of bricking my S3.

    I tried two methods to stop OTA, one was renaming the otacerts.zip, whiched last for a few hours, then reverted to sending the notification. So, I removed the .bak addition and moved on to my second effort, which was using System Tuner to uncheck update.SystemUpdateInstallDialog under Google Services Framework. Shortly thereafter, the phone would reboot, then freeze within a minute or two of being on, then repeat that process. I would appreciate any help.
